Inside the museum building, we can take a look at unique, excellent and precisely adjusted objects of German modern art. An English-speaking guided tour will introduce us to the exhibitions. After the visit to the Moritzburg, we will have a barbecue on the nearby Würfelwiese close to the river Saale. We will provide sparkling water and apple juice and would be very thankful, if you could contribute a snack to the barbecue (e.g. salad, cake, biscuits, sandwiches or others). Teaching and Research Assistantships for international PhD Students in the Summer Semester 2011

In the summer semester 2011, MLU awards again Teaching (TA) and Research Assistantships (RA) to international PhD students of the university.
The assistantships are meant to give PhD students experience in teaching and aim on strengthening the internationalization of teaching and research at our university. Besides, they want to contribute to improve the relationships between the institutes and the PhD Network. TAs and RAs support teaching and research by providing own courses for students, supervision of students’ projects, by collecting and analysing data or preparing publications and conference contributions. Besides, the assistantships may help cover up partially the living costs of PhD students.

PhD supervisors can apply for an assistantship for up to 3 months and for a sum of 300 € per month (from April to June or May to July). Applications have to be submitted to the International Office at the MLU. Applications for renewal are also possible.

The deadline for application is on March 11, 2011.
