Die nächste Beratung der Promovierenden-Initiative Halle findet am 24. Februar statt. Beginn ist 19 Uhr im Besprechungsraum des Stura (Universitätsplatz 7).

Doctoral lectures on December 5
Dear Phd students,
The PhD Student Initiative Halle invites you to an interdisciplinary talk for PhD students. The event will take place on 5th December 2013, 6pm, Dozentenbibliothek Thomasianum (Universitätsplatz 10a).
These presentations will be followed by an interdisciplinary discussion. Afterwards, there will be time to have a snack and to exchange experiences, to get to know the PhD student initiative ans just have a nice chat with other PhD students.
We are looking forward to welcoming PhD students from all fields.
Please note that the event language will be German. However, if you are interested in such an event held in English, please contact us.

Call for Abstracts - Deadline April 5 (in German only)
Den Promovierenden der MLU will die Promovierenden-Initiative Halle die Gelegenheit bieten, ihr Promotionsthema einem interdisziplinären Publikum vorzustellen: am Donnerstag, den 23.05. um 18.15 Uhr. Potenzielle Referentinnen und Referenten werden um Kurzbewerbungen in Form eines Abstracts gebeten. Einsendeschluss: 05. April.

2nd PhD Day at MLU on July 12
Dear fellow PhD students,
in close cooperation with the International Graduate Academy (InGrA), the PhD student initiative Halle proudly presents the 2nd PhD Day at MLU on Thursday, July 12 at the
Burse "Zur Tulpe", Universitätsring 5, Hallischer Saal.
We cordially invite you to this event and would be very happy to see many of you there. The program will include:
• 3 p.m. Public meeting with the Prorektorin für Forschung und wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs (Vice-President for Research and Junior Scientists) at MLU
• 5 p.m. Discussion forum "Culture of doing a PhD. Meaning of PhD agreements at the MLU"
• Evening reception
